Location: Trina's Starlight Lounge
Street: 3 Beacon Street
City/Town: Somerville, MA

"Somerville houses many of the country’s brightest, brashest, and bizarre. There are few locales where such status is placed on how much you can receive for the least amount of effort, time, or money. This often includes requisite facial hair, [inspired?] tattoos, and a fixed-speed to get you to them.

Well, I don’t really give a damn how you get there, what you look like when you do, or how prophetic your tramp stamp is when you arrive. I simply invite you to join me in what I hope will be a series called "Sip & Swap" in Somerville hosted by Trina’s Starlight Lounge.

Sundays are generally lauded as holy days of rest, relaxation, and, in our case, rebellion. If your parents were anything like mine, most weekends were spent clipping coupons and scouring newspapers’ classifieds to find the best deals in town. Often, these wares were being sold on the side of the street at transient neighbors’ homes, as they moved on but their “stuff” lived on.

So here are the particulars:

Who: Matt Lishansky and Trina’s Starlight Lounge

What: A Sip & Swap to help Lishansky shed the weight of moving by disseminating his “stuff” to the denizens of Somerville/Cambridge. Sidewalk chalk art (weather permitting) will be encouraged. Trina’s Hardest Lemonade Stand will be slinging drinks to thirsty spendthrifts on the prowl while they peruse priced-to-sell wares to include: a Marvel-centric comic book collection you hid from your mother, CDs that your mother will love, books your mother probably bought you, and clothes that you’d probably never wear in front of your mother.

... Why: Craig’s List doesn’t have a liquor license. "
